International Standards
All rag bolts are designed with our specialized engineering software and produced in compliance with international standards. They are available in both mild steel and high-tensile steel, and are hot-dip galvanized to resist corrosion and enhance long-term durability.
For general applications, these bolts are usually supplied in a “U” shape, with sizes ranging from M12 to M36. Larger assemblies, such as M30, M33, and M36, are often supplied in an “L” shape to provide greater stability. Every bolt is carefully engineered for its intended pole application, ensuring an accurate fit and reliable strength for both standard and custom pole installations.
Specifications
A complete rag bolt assembly includes:
-
A rag bolt template
-
Two nuts and two washers for each thread
-
Optional prefabricated welded bolt cages in various sizes
These components hold the rag bolts securely in place during the concrete pour, ensuring the correct alignment is maintained for pole installation. By achieving precise alignment within the foundation, poles can be positioned securely and accurately once erected.
We also produce customized bolt cages and assemblies suited for:
-
Shallow concrete bases
-
Building slab foundations
-
Above-ground mobile foundations
All assemblies are manufactured according to the engineered foundation design and the site-specific conditions.
For improved project scheduling, rag bolt assemblies can be delivered in advance of pole supply, allowing sufficient curing time for the foundation prior to column installation. This approach helps shorten project timelines and minimizes installation delays.
Screwpile
As an alternative to conventional concrete foundations, screwpiles provide a quick and efficient solution. These steel screw-in piles can be installed and ready for pole mounting within just 30 minutes, removing the need to wait for concrete curing.
Each screwpile foundation can be supplied with:
-
Baseplates
-
Cable entry slots for simplified cable access and connection
This foundation method is particularly suitable for temporary setups, fast-track projects, and challenging ground conditions such as rocky terrain. Screwpiles deliver reliable stability and can be effectively applied in both urban and regional projects.
